Although every BMW model is eye-catching, the Gran Turismo models have a special flair with their sloping rooflines and functional hatchback. The largest model, the 6 Series Gran Turismo, was recently unveiled and will join the lineup in the fall. Based on the new 5 Series, we think this model will offer some pretty special driving characteristics.

First, we’ll need to collect our jaws off the floor. The 6 Series Gran Turismo looks stunning with its elegant roofline and crisp body lines. Inside, you’ll find a lot of commonality with the 5 Series, including standard leather. Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six that makes 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, and suspension consists of a multilink air setup out back and double-wishbone up front. With the technology package, you get semi-autonomous driving aids, including Evasion Aid, which helps retain control when avoiding an obstacle.

There are also more ways to spec your 6 Series Gran Turismo to your liking. It launches in the fall, which gives you plenty of time to start a dialogue with our BMW dealership in Lake Bluff, IL. We’d be happy to set you up for a test drive when it comes in.
