It seems like the latest BMW models are keen on making our jaws hit the floor. The Concept 8 Series coupe is the latest example. Although just a prototype for the model to follow next year, we’re told many of this two-door’s crisp, evocative lines will make it into production. That’s great news, because this is one of the best-looking concepts we’ve seen in recent years.
The Launch Film for the prototype can be found above, and you’ll be able to see it from every angle. All the standard BMW design cues are there, but some—such as the double kidney grille an angle-eye headlamps have a unique treatment we’re quite fond of. The interior should be 7-Series-grade plush, with the highest quality materials and finish. In production, the 8 Series will be powered by a new V12 engine, while its M8 model will house the biturbo V8 found on the current M5.
